Alexander ventured into the East in circa 4th century BCE. Greeks and Persians of that age were the wisest and the most intelligent people Earth had ever seen back then. After escaping closely an Achaemenid conquest of Europe,Greeks led by Alexander venture East. Anatolia,Mesopotamia,Levant and Egypt are instantly conquered. Persia is conquered in some time and so are the Northern reaches of the then India, Bactria and Sogdia and smaller parts of Central Asia is done. The Empire was rich but disunity between Greeks and hence holding such large territories becoming difficult became it's undoing. So in this timeline, large parts of Central Asia,Northern reaches of India,Persia,Egypt,North Africa,Balkans,Anatolia,Pontic regions, parts of Italy fall under this huge empire. Scythians,Persians,Tocharians,Caucasian peoples,Anatolians,Medes,Egyptians,Semitic peoples and Indo-Aryans are settled in large Hellenized colonies in respective regions in the still emptier but fertile parts of the World. The Hellenic influence grows and so does the Persian influence. The wisdom and intelligence sees the twilight of a new scientific revolution and eventual massive Growth of standards of living and the capabilities of the Empire. Mongolia,East Central Asia,Steppes,Northern Europe are eventually brought in and Hellenized. Soon, there is a large Solar powered steampunk like civilization holding large parts of the World creating a growth never seen before. So did the happier future unfolded. So suggest PODs,AHC timelines for this to happen.

....Also, I'm a total Alexander-fanboy, and I've often described scenarios where his Empire can survive, and stabilise, and even become a "cyclical empire" (like china; al;ways falling back together after it has first fallen apart). I've often argued that such an empire would provide a vast "free trade zone" and relatively safe passage on the one hand, and on the other hand would be decentralised by default and thus foster regional competition-- all of which would be good for science, innovation and the development and exchange of ideas in general. But all that being said: what you are outlining here is more like a fantasy than any real AH scenario.
