AHC _ Anglo-German Alliance in the 1930s

I note that according to Goulding & Moyes - in RAF Bomber Command and its aircraft 1936 - 1940 even in 1936 Russia was still considered a potential adversary - ref:B.12/36.
p.42 "During Air Staff discussions formulating the requirements for the new bomber, points arose regarding range and bomb load capability. They need for a range as much as 3,000 miles was questioned, but this was felt to be necessary in case Russia should prove to be a potential future aggressor. Early in 1936 the danger of the Third Reich, only three years after the seizure of power by Hitler, was yet to be appreciated and the area of any future operations of war was a matter of conjecture. There was still talk of disarmament and the thought of future conflict was rather remote."

So, who ever the foe the RAF would have 'heavy-bombers'. Despite German re-occupation of the Rhineland Germany was not seen as the main 'foe'. How could Germany reach relations with Britain that becomes an Alliance? WHO does things differently - France, Britain, Germany, and/or Russia.

Then, having achieved an 'Alliance' what contribution would British forces make in the war against Russia?

If you choose to accept the challenge, up to you how different from OTL events you wish/expect it to be.

France and Spain need to go militantly Red, and ideally for this scenario, you'd have the 1938 Coup go down in Germany. Then you have a hugely threatening Mediterranean threat to British interests/Suez Canal/Middle East.

Britain, Nordics, Germany (especially if non-Nazi), and Italy vs. Spain, France, and the Soviet Union. The wildcards are the KMT and Japan. If you get Japan back in the British fold, then the tensions with the US rise over China. With the KMT, though, you have the risk of the Soviets and Japan making an alliance of convenience, giving the Red Army a Naval foundation in the Pacific. If Germany stays Nazi, I think it'd really depend on what Red France's goals are.

On the other hand, if the Anglo-German Alliance stays with China, then Japan will get a very black eye. Interestingly, with Hollywood having a lot of Communist and leftist sympathizers by the 1930s, the films produced will be distinctly non-interventionist instead of "the world's on fire - we must act!."

Where do the low countries go?

Where do the low countries go?

It really depends on the orientation - in this case, I'd imagine with the Anglo-German alliance or frightened Neutral. I'm speaking more for the Dutch than the Belgians, as I'm not super-familiar with the Belgian politics of the time. I can see the Dutch going either way if Japan goes with the Reds instead of the Brits, but if Japan's part of the Allies, then no way does it go with the Reds.

Well I'm curious if the Brits can force the Belgian and Dutch to allow German access for any invasion of Red France. Also would Portugal be invaded by Republican Pain out of fear?

Oh yeah Portugal is 100% Allied on this one, which could well bring Brazil along early.
