Out of the 44 men who have served as President, only 19 served as Governors (two of them to territories: Indiana and the Philippines) and none of them were their state's first. My challenge is to get the first elected Governor of any state to the President's office (elected governor, no territorial ones, so William Harrison doesn't count). There's 50 guys (counting the 4 states after 1900), so there's a lot of flexibility to this challenge.
