What were the potential AH three way contests in the same geological arena?
You can do it by adding another contender to a bipolar contest, or splitting a unified OTL power into two.
I can think of only three:
1) Second Macedonian unification of Greece, putting the Kingdom of Macedon in the same game Rome and Cathage was playing.
2) Sassanian survival in the Islamic Conquest, reducing the OTL Arab wank to a three-way contest with the Romans and Persians.
3) A resurgent China in the late 19th century, adding another player to the OTL Russo-Japanese contest for domination in Northeast Asia.
And the good old Nazi-Soviet-American three way cold war. (Not counted since it's post-1900)
