AH Question: Posada and Gravina

I don't think he would have the ressources for that, being stuck in Italy under his brother's watch and critically with the tentatives of stronger alliance between Angevine houses that happened IOTL.

Eventually, Hungrian lords may found a child-king a more acceptable, and licit, way to impose their power on the kingdom, but admittedly Naples could try to support Louis's right under some sort of regency with the support of the newer nobility propelled by Charles.
But, regarding ressources of Naples and their other interests (critically in Provence), I'm not sure it would be doable on the long run.

Is the possibility of a Wittelsbach attempt at seizing power more realistic?

I don't really see how.
If something, the absence of a "neutralizing alliance" between Bolko and Hungary would lead to John of Bohemia being able to deal with him even sooner, and Louis IV was to busy dealing with the pope and gibeline leagues to really do something about it.

But maybe you had a more precise idea about how it could work?

My only thoughts were that the early fourteenth century was a volatile time in Hungary, and to have Charles I perish so soon after consolidating control seems like it might leave behind a power vacuum, especially if the Vlachs start causing problems after Posada.

Well, it would create such, while I don't think Vlachs could really obtain more than the territories they already hold, but the situation in HRE at this time was a bit too chaotic to allow HREmperors or even John of Luxemburg to fully take adventages of it.
That said, it would have greater incidents regarding Louis IV succession. I could see Luxemburg and Kings of Bohemia having the upper hand on it earlier than OTL. Maybe John could even been officialy considered as an anti-king.

Which is why I suggested Gravina. I'm looking to find a way to make Hungary (and Naples) more stable without the Hapsburgs.

An earlier Luxemburg imperial take-over could actually allow for a more or less direct intervention in Hungary, as it happened OTL with Frederic III.
For Naples on the other hand...
For their rule being relativly stable, they shouldn't go too much there and they would have other issues. Dealing with Angevine house in Naples and Provence would be more the task of Valois kings. Enough early victories in OTL HYW (Stalemate at Sluys, a maritime victory and a terrestrial victory would give them enough room on this side to be able to do something about southern matters).

What would these entail and when? I was looking for the latest possible PODs.

I don't know exactly, we're mostly talking possibilities and multiple PoDs timeline there. At best, Hungary being taken over by Luxemburgs, maybe; and Angevine house definitely splitting up Naples and Provence.

All valid points. Just waiting and giving Louis the Great sons might work too, for Hungary at least. Although, a Valois marriage for one of his daughters has always intrigued me....
