AH Napoleon & British Colonies

Is there any way that the British American Colonies survive and Napoleon still rises to power? What would be the effects?

Assuming Nappy and the French Revolution happen roughly on schedule?

Probably the colonials dealing primarily with hemispheric affairs. Haitian Rebellion and helping capture more Caribbean colonies, and attempting to take Louisiana and New Orleans.

I'm sure some troops will head to Europe, but if the *Americans are anything like A) OTL and B) OTL before the ARW, they won't be that fixated or alternatively distrustful on standing militaries-especially if Britain will still foot the bill. Thus their efforts at best limited to the immediant area.

Unfortunately without the American example it is very likely that the revolution would attempt to stay as a Constitutional monarchy with Louis and probably fail in doing so. Since they would simply have very little to draw upon and therefore the later stages of the revolution are not likely to occur.

Or we could get something much more radical. But Napoleon's rise has too many factors to assume it will not change.

I don't think so. I think the American Revolution may have caused the French Revolution to happen earlier then in it could have but the French Revolution was going to happen sooner or later and it was going to be every bit as radical as OTL. At the time France was a vary unbalanced country with the nobility and clergy having nearly all the political power but were responsible for paying only 2% of taxes while the those of the third estate paid more then 98% of taxes. The nobility and clergy that made up the first and second estates were less then 1% of the population and everyone else belong to the third estate and the first two estates were big spenders and the cause of most of France's taxes and they were not going to give up power or give up spending anytime soon. France was basically a time bomb just waiting to explode.

And besides, most of “American radical ideas” were copied from French and other European Philosophers.
