I don't know but you appear to have a constitutional monarchy system with a president instead of a king

Why do you say that? It seems to me they all serve between 1 and 8 years. That's two terms in OTL, the same our Presidents are eligible to serve for. Although, I admit, too many Presidents die in office...

Well mainly because the term Chancellor implies a parliamentary leader who takes his power from the assembly and is subordinate to the president Also as you note the presidential terms are either cut short by death or ended by a finite service period

btw how are you ?

Initially I thought the Chancellors were the Vice Presidents, but I'm not so sure. I'm assuming that these are actually Speakers of the House, or leaders of the majority party in both houses of Congress.

As for the POD, Aaron Burr's in office before his duel with Hamilton, correct? If so, then maybe the POD is that he is the VP for Adams instead of Jefferson.

Pretty much the same as OTL. In OTL, Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, and JFK were assasinated; William H. Harrison, Zachary Taylor, Harding and FDR died in office; and Nixon resigned. In TTL, we have Seward, Cleveland and McKinley assassinated; Polk, Harding, and FDR died in office; and Nixon resigned. So, actually, there's been less presidential deaths in TTL than OTL. And if you'd guys would look a little harder, you'd see Benedict Arnold as the second Chancellor. I've made a whole list with other world leaders from other nations, and I'll post that later, maybe.

I totally missed Benedict Arnold's name.

I'm not quite sure what the POD is. I'm looking forward to your list of world leaders. Although I must admit, this is quite fun. :D

BTW, I'm speculating on something that has to due with the Revolutionary War. Or maybe a different Consititutional Convention?

It looks like maybe the US government in this timeline is structured much like the government of the modern French 5th Republic, with both a President who is elected separately from the Legislature/Congress, and a Chancellor who is chosen by the majority party or coalition within the legislature. The two of them are often from the same political party, but sometimes they are from opposing parties. The Chancellor automatically becomes President in the event of the President's death or resignation.

The POD would have to be some time during the American Revolution to have Benedict Arnold as a Chancellor in the US government.

About the British side all I can say is that George III died a lot earlier and it looks like his son screwed up big time. A couple of quibbles though - first, how likely is it that the monarchy would be overthrown a second time and another man named Cromwell would end up in charge? Also, wouldn't the government from 1814-1830 more likely be called the "Second Commonwealth" rather than Republic?

1921: England ignores the yapping of the Ulster Protestants and lets all of Ireland go free.
King Edward VII (1910-1921)
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Scotland
House of Stuart
King Arthur I (1921-1936)
"and Ireland" drops out of the title same time as King Arthur I comes to the throne. It may be that the IRA assassinated King Edward VII and that finally made England throw the towel in about Ireland. It was said OTL that Ireland, like its symbol the harp, cost more to keep it in tune than its owner got usefulness out of it.

I assume you are refering to the nation of Ireland, and not Lake Erie. If so, the proper term is Éire, which is Gallic for Ireland, not Erie.

I didn't know whether or not that special 'E' would be actually placed on the board.

I wasn't referring to the accented 'e'. I was referring to the spelling. It's "EIRE" not "ERIE".
