My dream film!!!A faithful-to-the-book adaption of Fatherland would be pretty cool.

I doubt it, as everything on wiki is to be taken with a fist-ful of salt

It'd be nice if Decades of Darkness and/or Gurkani Alam were ever to get such an adaptation.![]()
IIRC, the Coen Brothers are lined up to tackle the YPU in the near future.Michael Chabon's the Yiddish Policemen's Union.
I stand correctedIn this case they did give a source.
Yes, it does sound good. But like with the bastard adaptation of Fatherland, I'll reserve final judgement until I;ve seen itOr you could, y'know, just check the reference to make sure it's kosher. Disbelieving everything on wiki as a reflex reaction is as silly as believing everything on wiki by default.
Searched around a bit, and apparently as of March 2011 it's still going ahead. With Ridley Scott adapting it and the guy who did Spooks directing it may be good.
The premise of YPU looks goodIIRC, the Coen Brothers are lined up to tackle the YPU in the near future.
I'd highly recommend it. Chabon's an amazing author, and YPU is superb brain candy. The premise of YPU looks good
I'll certainly try to get hold of a copyI'd highly recommend it. Chabon's an amazing author, and YPU is superb brain candy.
I found the book to be pretty depressing so I wouldn't watch it if it was adapted into a movie. In the Presence of Mine Enemies could be epic, if done right.
I highly doubt that any of these would be done well.
What about original AH written for the screen, there's even less of that than adapted AH
Please do not violate the dead. This thread was dead for a year.I for one would love to see Harry Harrison's "Rebel in Time" novel made into a movie. I think it would be a seriously kickass movie if it is done right and can remain faithful to the book.
