The reason why I separate East Asian Monarchs from the usual “Royal Lineage” thread is that the kings and Emperors of China, Vietnam, Japan and Korea have their unique ways of naming: They have an Era Name, a posthumous Name and a Temple name.
In thread, please give at least the Era Name for each monarch. As in recent 500 years, it's more popular to refer to a monarch by his Era name, because:1)Since Ming Dynasty, a monarch almost never changes his Era Name in his lifetime. This practice later spread to Vietnam and Japan.
2)Unlike a Temple Name or a Posthumous Name, an Era name is used during a monarch's lifetime.
3)The monarch's personal name is somehow considered a taboo.

There are several ways to name an Era, but it's more advisable to take from Confucian classics.
