Can anybody on the list (i.e. Thande) attest whether the podcast did indeed start; and if it did, is there some way to notify charl of all that? :):confused::confused:

  • Communism!
  • Wanks, Screws and Space Filling Empires
  • Neglected PODs
  • Dystopia vs Utopia (I've noticed that many of the prominent timelines on this board involve dystopic futures, yet there are rarely any in which humanity is better.)
  • Alien Space Bats and other Related Nonsense

I am already logged in at Skype, and was for the last several hours.
The problem is, charl left the forum about 20 minutes before I send him my ID (and I haven't noticed because he was still logged-in for 30 minutes after last activity), so he doesn't know it; I'm trying to do something to correct that problem. I also don't want to post my Skype ID on an open forum unless that is the only way left, which further complicates things... :):)

OK, the inaugural podcast is over. I think that went pretty well, despite microphone issues on all sides.

And the first AH.com podcast is officially over (as far as I know, I disconnected). I didn't have much to say (Nazi Germany has never been a strong suit of mine); if I did it would have been difficult to get in word edgewise. Regardless, we had some good discussion mingled with authentic randomness.

To keep that randomness to a minimum, I suggest in the future we make a rough outline. Not a script, but simply a few bullets we decide on together in the thread that we want to hit during the discussion. That will help keep us on track and make the podcast much easier for listeners to follow.

I agree, I was going to suggest the same thing. Just a rough list of topics so Charl or whoever chairs it can give us a new one when we run into a patch of dead air.
