I think i did one of these a while back, somewhere. I believe the general consensus was that even if they went to war, they would go broke fighting each other over such a vast distance.
What should they fight on? and where?
ususally a fight takes places where the territories of the opponnents meet - or at see near to that point.
Japan and germany could meet each other if the soviejet union is not there and the aerea is poland-like partintionated between germany and japan.
So - 1905 goes much worse for the russians. All of siberia goes to japan.
1914-1918 germany wins quickly in the east and makes peace with the entente to whatever conditions. The southern part of the udssr till the ural goes to germany. Russia is a small country on the shores of northern sea and baltic sea.
Now we have a border - but what should be the reason to fight after both countries have enouigh folk to torutre?
Germany would need extensive colonial territory in Asia which the Japanese "liberated" in their invasion of the mainland.
Otherwise, later than the time stipulated, a victorious Nazi Germany and Fascist Japan settle in an uncomfortable alliance which eventually turns into a Cold War.
