Make the 1960's cultural revolution never happen with a POD prior to 1947.

What are you on about Chris? Well, the fallout games which i adore are set in a world where the counter culture never emerged. On the wiki it says the POD had to happen somewhere between 1945 and 1961 but the computer science in the fallout universe didn't invent the transistor until the 2050's. Ergo I'm thinking the POD must be before 1947, when the microprocessor was invented in OTL.

I understand the difference between 1947 and 1961 allows for a lot of butterflies so I'll just add that both world wars still need to start and finish on the same dates as OTL.

Any ideas? I'm too full of hayfever to use my brain right now.

Well, if you're trying to build a Fallout-esque world, it depends on whether or not if you want to be more realistic, or go the fanciful route. TBH, you could create a somewhat different counter-culture if you'd like: maybe one that's based more around Civil Rights or general social commentary instead of the anti-war movement as it largely was IOTL. But I don't think you can put off transistors for too long, TBH. Maybe 10 years at most.

But, it's all up to you in the end, TBH.
