AH Challenge: Unite Europe by 2050

Can Europe (or a majority of Europe) be plausibly united in to a single state or federation any time after 1900, by the year 2050?

A single state ? No.
Federation, possible, with outer core of affiliated countries-Great Britain, Turkey, perhaps Ukraine.

This is in after 1900, not FH, so sure. Just pick a country (I'd choose Wilhelmine Germany, just 'cuz it's militarist enough to do it) and have it keep winning wars for 150 years. That should do it.

Deutschland Uber Alles....eh, why not? The Germans deserve at least ONE AH scenario where they are victorious and honorable.

Is a Europe that has been united through conquest actually united at all?

Take in to account that when I use the term 'united' it implies some degree of acceptance by those in the union.

Can Europe be united diplomatically at all?

Well, possibly. Some kind of alternate WW2, leading to an 'USE' with more states in it then the EEC started out with might be possible...
I can imagine, say, the Earlier European Integration TL leading to something approaching this Challenge's goal, but not necessarily...

I object to your assertion that a country absorbed militarily will not eventually accept and like been in that country. As an example I point to Wales.

Europe and Wales are two completely different examples from two completely different eras, you simply can't compare them.

The biggest difference being, England outnumber Wales utterly.
Germany doesn't outnumber the rest of Europe put together.
