AH Challenge: Tito retains Stalin's support

Is there anything Tito could have done (or not done) to remain acceptable to Stalin?

Challenge - find a way for Tito to retain Stalin's support and membership in good standing within the COMINFORM until Stalin's natural death in 1953.

Is this plausible?

Is there anything Tito could have done (or not done) to remain acceptable to Stalin, without a complete personality transplant or 180 degree turnabout in major policy areas? Why so? Why not?

I voted no, because Tito had very different set of political ideas. Yugoslavia itself never wanted to have anything to do with anyone and would prefer not to be subordinated to anyone either politically or economically.

Stalin only found people "acceptable" if they were willing to accept him as the Communist Pope, complete with Papal Infallibility and regular visits by a Moscow-controlled Inquisition.

Tito was not the sort of guy to bow and scrape, especially to an ally as unreliable as Stalin.
