AH challenge the Kommenian dynasty remains in control of the ERE to modern day

Here is a challenge how would it be possible for the Kommenians to remain in power in Byzantium, Byzantium must at least be a strong regional power by otl 2010 you get cookie if it is a great power, also the Pod can be no earlier thN the ascension of Alexius I Kommenos to the byzantion throne.

shoot i screw up.......

New idea!

The Crusader commanders honor thier pledge to return all reconquered lands.

when Alexius is an old man, Jesus returns to Earth to rule the Byzantines (Alexius handed over the Empire to Christ), pwning all who stand in His way.

The Crusade of 1101 makes it through Anatolia intact, giving the Turks a mild defeat along the way, they help to quickly expand the borders of Outremer. The Second Crusade makes it through Anatolia intact, giving the Turks a bloody nose along the way, they capture Damascus.

Andronicus Komnenos comes to the throne on the death of Manuel at the expense of his young nephew. Andronicus attacks the landed nobility like a rabid dog for 5 years before being deposed in favour of his nephew. His nephew Alexios II manages to take advatage of the damage Andronicus has done to the nobility and recentralises some powers into the Emperors hands and redistributes land to military peasants in something akin to the Theme system.

Saladin's big acheivement is throwing the Crusaders out of Damascus, they still hold the bulk of the Holy Land including Oultrejordain, the key to holding Jerusalem.

The empire holds on as a centralised state until the early modern era when the rest Europe follows suit. The rest writes itself.

Umm... J created this thread for some ideas for a tl I will make is it alright if I borrowed some of your ideas for my tl.

My favourite Byzantine dynasty is the Kommenians..

Few more ideas, Have Fredrcik barbossa not drown so his massive 100,000 army strong cursader army can pwn the muslims everywhere. But after he gets to the holy land have richard the lionheart become commander or something because if he can win battles when hes outnumbered 6 to 1 think of what he can do when he outnumbers the enemy 6 to 1

Aside from that, maybe have the 4th Crusade actaully be a crusade, have them land in the holy land or egypt or wherever besides constantinople

No, really?

Well, more support from the Byzantines to the First Crusade (so, for example, quickly mustering a Byzantine army to relieve Antioch, rather than sending out tiny occupation forces) would be a good start.
