AH Challenge: Second Prohibition Era

Canada maybe, Mexico? Never (this is a country, after all, where 90% at least nominally adhere to a religion which uses some alcohol in their services)

The Mexican Government allows the Catholic Church to make its wine in highly regulated special church vineyards. It still has prohibition otherwise.

That is a plausible scenario, given the PRI of the time being not exactly friendly with the Church.

For prohibition north of the border after 33, I think you'd have to have the equivalent of a Great Awakening, more so than the postwar one the country did experience - more on the lines of the Second one.
