AH challenge: Romance of the 3 kingdom, ROMAN style!

Bascially, during the 3rd century crisis, you need to create a scenario where rome becomes 3 nation, similar to the 3 kingdoms period in china.

You are to create a roman version of the RT3K characters, and follow the plot development of the 3 kingdom as closely as possible.

Also, you need to find a way and ensure that the trade routes inside rome is not destroyed.

OTL.

Gallic Empire, Roman Empire, Palmyrene Empire.

Not 3 empires which tried to break away.

3 Empires or states who claim to be the legal successor state to the roman empire, as a new dynasty or etc.

Also, I was hoping someone would create people like Zhuge Liang or Guan Yu.

The Roman Empire divides into Anglo-Britain, the core Italian empire, and the Eastern Roman Empire which act as Wu,Shu,and Wei respectively.

That's actually kinda what they did. The notion that those three claimed a separate identity from the main Roman one is always exaggerated. Each claimed to be the legit Roman administration, and fought bitterly over that. They just had different power bases, which formed the three competing factions during that civil war.

What about the characters? Also, you need to ensure that the trade routes of the 3 empires did not really break down.

Well you get the Three sons of Connstantine, they each had their own slice of the Roman EMpire after he died, and duked it out and backstabbed each other to see who would unite the Roman EMpire.

No, actually. Postumus (the first and most successful Gallic Emperor) never made any move on Italy (much to the chagrin of his legionaries). The reason he became ruler in the first place was to defend Gaul against barbarian invasion.

Odaenathus did not care about taking Rome either. He wanted to break off and found an empire separate from Rome, which he saw as a decaying and ultimately doomed state.
