AH Challenge: More Standarisation

Every 100 miles or so I buy 10 litres of petrol. I go to the timber yard and buy 2 meters of 2 inch by 1 inch wood, half a kilo of 2 inch nails a 750 ml tin of paint and a 3 inch paintbrush. Then I go to the supermarket and buy a quarter of ham thats priced at £1 per 100 grammes and a 568 ml bottle of milk.

My 12 year old nephew has never been taught any imperial measures because its illegal to teach them in school yet he still told me proudly the other day that he was 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighed 9 stone. I think metrification has a looooong way to go.

If you can find anyone in Britain who gives a damn then you could probably find gold at the end of the rainbow.

See this? I groan every time I see this dumb way of saying it. It's not in the program. These are two different things. Going off like a metric martyr just makes you sound like a weird daily fail reader.

You could look at Canada instead of keeping beating your chests theatrically.

Why are you getting so wound up about it. I couldnt care less if we went 100% metric or reverted to avoirdupois. No one in Britain cares. That was my point even though you missed it by 1.609344 kilometres
