AH Challenge: Medieval Belgrade for Serbia

The challenge is that Serbia's capital during the Middle Ages is Belgrade, not Raska, Prizren, or Skopje early on. Could this be accomplished by a major migration to Northern Serbia from a Byzantine Campaign?

Apparently, for the De Administratio Imperii, it was the proto-Croats that settled Belgrad first (or at least a slavic people more tied to Avars than proto-Serbs).

A weaker Avar Empire during the VIII century could lead the slavic people around Belgrade to be part of the Serbian ethnogenesis.

Now, you'll need something to have this one being focused on North and not on Adriatic coast : maybe a weaker Byzantine presence there would do it (letting the way for Lombards, Carolingians, Byzantine rebels, or even Arabs to raid the coast).

Marko have probably more support than me in this question though.

In that case, Stefan Dragutin is your best bet. Make him remain a king (that is, no hunting accident), and he may get Belgrade in a deal or two with Hungarians, since he is their son-in-law.

Well if the migration legend for the Serbs is to be believed after they had settled in what is today northern Greece they were not very pleased and decided to go back north crossing the Danube but once on the other side encountered problems and asked the Byz. Emperor to came back into the Empire and were given the area where later Serbian medieval realms grew from. Considering that almost all historical legends have a varying degree of truth at their core, you could just decide that Serbs either stay north of the Danube in what is today Voivodina and than later expand south and make Belgrade their capitalo, or Byz. Emp. settles them in the area between Drina and Morava rivers along Sava and Danube as a bulwark against the Avar Khaganate.

Well I would like to have Hungary to have its traditional core, but I want the Serbs to have Belgrade, and the Southern portion of Vojvodina to the Serbs, with the Northern portion Hungarian
