AH CHALLENGE: Make this happen...

Most of our (ie French, British, American) attention at the time was focused on ending the Holocaust; that's why America entered WWII. We weren't really looking at the Ottoman Empire at the time. It's possible that they hid a little Kurdish genocide here and there.

This is a post which appeared in the chat forum. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to create a timeline or scenario which incorporates the central elements of this post...

1) The Ottoman Empire is still around during World War II.

2) The Ottoman Empire, during World War II, commits genocide against the Armenians AND the Kurds.

3) The Western Allied Powers (U.S., France, and Britain) are fighting Nazi Germany for the express purpose of ending the Holocaust, and ending the Holocaust is their primary war aim.

1916-1918

The Gallipoli Campaign suceeds and the Ottomans decide to make a seperate peace with the WW I Allies. According to the peace terms teh Ottomans are forced to turn over Trans-Jordan, Arabia and all European territory.

Ottomans get to keep Syria and Iraq.

That might keep the Ottomans around until World War II, but perhaps not, too. There would likely be a major backlash against the government for losing the war, as happened in OTL. How do you deal with that?

Also, this does nothing to meet the other criteria.
