With the Presidential elections coming up, I've been thinking about eccentric minor parties which could be major parties in ATL. So with that in mind I issue a challenge.

With a POD no earlier than just after the end of Prohibition in 1933, make the Prohibition Party, not a major party on par with the Republicans or Democrats, but a viable minor party. Say, approximately the same fundraising capability and number of votes as the OTL Libertarian Party.

Also, temperance must remain part of the platform. You can expand this to smoking, drugs etc. as well as alcohol. You may add anything to the platform, but you can't remove the basic goal of strictly regulating or fully prohibiting the sale of alcohol.

Probably the best way to do this would be to add other movements or ideaologies onto the platform. For example, will the Prohibitionist's concern for the urban poor give us a Communist Prohibition party? Or perhaps it takes more of a religious turn? It's up to you. Good luck!
