AH Challenge: It'll all be over by christmas

The Challenge is for World War 1 to end in either a Central Powers Victory or an entente victory by Christmas Day 1914.

Hmmm...this is not as hard as it seems.

  • Essen violates Swedish neutrality, putting Sweden in the CP and putting more pressure on the Russians.
  • Italy honors its alliance obligations and joins the Central Powers, attacking France and fighting in the Balkans alongside Austria.
  • With the Italians attacking France, the Germans have less pressure on them, and capture Paris. France capitulates, and Britain sues for peace.
  • With the Western front over and the British and French negotiating peace with the CP's, the Germans, Austrians, Ottomans, and Swedish can focus on taking out Russia. Bulgaria joins the war to get Serbian Macedonia, Romania joins the Central Powers for Bessarabia.

Britain decides not to intervene if Germany goes through Belgium (the treaty obligations are rather ambiguous), the German offensive works, France asks for an armistice and a peace is signed before Xmas (France isnt necessarily comprehensively beaten, it would be more like the Franco-Prussian war...)

The king of Belgium and the goverment accept the money Germany offered in return for allowing the German army to pass on Belgium ground for the attack on France in 1914 (this really happend, but Belgium refused). Britain will stay out of the war France will take a hell of a beating. Paris falls within days and most of the French army is shattered. France begs for peace. Russia´s army near the German border is mostly distroyed in the first two months, knowing Russia can´t take on both Germany and Austria (perhaps Sweden joins in for parts of Finland), they ask for peace weeks after France does.
