AH Challenge: Indianisation Wank!

The objective is to have as many "Indianised Kingdoms" as possible. How far can we take this wank? Is an Indianized Japan within the bounds of realism? Could an Indianised kingdom be founded in Australia? How far can Buddhism spread if there were many more Indianised people in the pacific? Can we have Buddhist (or better yet, Hindu) polynesians ?

As I've said, the thing to do here is to push Indian maritime culture a bit further a bit earlier on. As it is, Indianisation reached to Mindanao. Give it an earlier push and you could have an "Indianised arc" stretching through SE Asia, up through the Philippines to Taiwan and Japan. Japan only really started Sinifying in the 2nd C AD so that's the date to beat. Perhaps have China get even more focused on the threat from Central Asia, to give Indian culture a bit more of a chance in seeping into the locals in Taiwan and Japan.

Thus, Asia would be very clearly divided into two spheres, Continental Asia- basically China, Korea, Manchuria and the steppes which would consist of an eternal struggle between Chinese culture and nomadic culture (with Tibetan and Persian influences seeping in from the South and West respectively); and Maritime Asia i.e. India, SE Asia and Indonesia. In TTL "Indonesia" in the sense of the Indian Islands, would extend to Japan where Hindu and Buddhist Kings would rule.
