In many CSA wins the War of Secession TL's, the Confederacy eventually ends up at the side of Britain and France in the First World War, like in TL-191. While it seems logical to me that if Britain aided the CSA in gaining her independence (either by recognition and pressure on the US or by all-out war) London and Richmond would develop close ties, I'm not so sure about France. Even if it intervened in the war and actively helped the CSA and Britain, this does not mean it is going to stay that way. After all, Britain and France just fought together in the Crimean War, but yet several timelines with points of divergence after that have France and Britain on opposing sides in the war, or have British neutrality.
But while I've seen Anglo-German alliances, it seems to me that the whole Confederacy is just an excuse for the United States to conquer Canada. It's always the same thing, the CSA allies with the Entente, the US joins the Triple Alliance, and the Entente is crippled. So, my question is, how can we get a timeline where in the analogue to the First World War, the CSA (and probably Britain too) find themselves on the side of the German Empire? If this is possible, how would such a war go?
POD's after 1861. Assuming an average-sized CSA with the original eleven states plus Oklahoma (might or might not include Kentucky and part of New Mexico).
