So I was watching a documentary on the Cherokee people, and it seems that they had all the hallmarks of a stable society: Writing, recognized government, elections, and etc.
Therefore, now I have a challenge. Keep the Cherokee nation distinct and somewhat independent, either as a nation, or as a majority-Cherokee state in the US.
One possible route is to not elect Jackson, or at least make him more influenced by Northerners.
A second is for the Cherokee to use stalling measures aimed at misdirecting Georgia (the state that wanted Cherokee land and gold so bad they defied the Supreme Court), and the other Southern states.
Any ideas? I don't want to write about this, but writing challenges always seem to help people get interested in their own TLs.
