AH Challenge: Better Deal for Native Americans?

Anyone who knows about American History knows about the really crappy deal that was dealt Native Americans. Now while their situation has improved since the earlier days, considerably, it's still not all "whine and roses", if you know what I mean.

So how could, in an obviously AH sense, have things been done differently that would've led to better relations between the United States and Native American groups, as well as a better situation for said Native Americans?

*is curious*

I think that part of the problem was that most of the Indians were French allies and having them coming in and burning villages and such didn't bode well for future harmonious relations.

If more tribe were English allies, there could be a more positive view on the part of the colonists towards the Indians.

If King Philips War is delayed or averted, the New England tribes would be stronger. At least for a while.

I've heard that Pennsylvania was the only state that didn't break any of its agreements with the Indians. Maybe if Pennsylvania was a bit larger. No Maryland?

last thought: no Dunmore's War.

My British Imperialism TL has a large section of OTL US and some of Southern Canada as a Native State comprised of Sioux, Shawnee and the various Creek Tribes.

I've used the Proclamation of 1763 as a POD to build the sort of nation you're asking about. As of the 1840's 3 provinces (Alabama, Haudenosaunee & Waponahki) and 3 territories east of the Continental Divide (Assiniboia, Anishinaabe and Comanchiria) have a majority Indian population.
