AH Challenge: Axis victory post 1945

Create a scenario in which the Axis win the war. But here's the catch: there can only be one POD, and it cannot come earlier than February 1945. And when I say win the war, I mean complete all their original war goals. Libenstraum, Holocaust, defeat of Communism, Greater Asian co-prosperity sphere, etc.

Impossible. Sorry but this is ASB territory. Even if all the main allied leaders suddenly went insane or died, there would still be successors to mop up what was left of Germany (o ya and there was the atom bomb a few months away).

My IQ just dropped by 10 from the notion that the Axis could win after 1945. Hitlers offensive to capture Antwerp is a failure. There's a heavy shortage of ammunition, weapons, and oil. The allies are advancing on Germany on all fronts. In the Pacific, the Japanese has been bombed to kingdom come. Their fleets are all but decimated. Supplies in Japan are very scarce. In a few months the US will have nukes to decimate them even further. If the US somehow fails to develop a nuke, the fire bombings will still wreak havoc on Japan. Also the Soviets will be coming a month after Germany falls.

A series of asteroids land on ever allied nation, massively devastating them.

Stalin, Churchill, FDR et all are killed, as are the most of the government officers.

Miraculously, Germany is spared.

You'd need something REALLY insane, like the Soviet Union Declaring War against the Allies or something.

Again, ASB territory,

Even with the Soviet Union declaring war against the allies, it will still be, at best a survival victory.

Only a natural disater the scale of what I posted above can credibly save the Third Reich.

I was thinking maybe Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill are all assassinated at Yalta. Maybe you could then have the Soviet people overthrow the Communist party, and seek an armistice with Germany, thus allowing them to transfer all their eastern front armies to the west.

I doubt that the Soviet people will be willing to sign a armistice with the Germans since the Germans slaughtered quite a lot of Russians and now they are having a upper hand is almost at the gates of Berlin. Its like if somebody killed your brother and you give up trying to bring him to justice right when you almost had him. And also even with the forces of the eastern front get sent to the western front, their still no match for the combined British and American armies.

I don't know. I just wanted to make a difficult challenge and see if it could successfully be done. In all honesty I doubted it myself. But "Axis victory" scenarios usually have a 1940, 41, or 42 POD, so I just wanted to see if a late war one could work for a change.

I guess not.

And the Axis STILL loses.

Beginning in February, 1945, purely by chance, American, British, French and Soviet soldiers can no longer shoot straight, while German and Japanese soldiers (again, purely by chance), find their aim somehow improved. As a result, every bullet fired by Allied soldiers misses, while every bullet fired by German and Japanese soldiers hits.

Doesn't matter. Allied blockades and strategic bombing have played havoc with Axis logistics. There are no bullets to shoot at the Allies, and the Germans and Japanese are cut off and starve. The lucky ones are overrun by overwhelming numbers of American, Russian, Commonwealth, and Chinese troops and bayoneted to death.

As others have said, 1945 is too late.
At the start of 1944 the Axis don't have much of a prayer, but atleast have the forces available to do something. While unqualified victories everywhere combined with significant allied incompetence would be very much Axis-wank it could 'hypothetically' have happened.

By 1945 Germany doesn't have anything left. Japan is starving. Even a deluge of comets across the Allied home nations wouldn't allow for an axis victory.
