not quite.
there are gods in Buddhism, called "The Four Heavenly Kings".
however, there are different branches, and as a Jodo Shinshu Buddhist i've never heard of the "Four Heavenly kings".
also it was not uncommon for Shinto gods to be seen as a Manifestation of a Buddhist Bodhisattva, so Shinto influences were seen in Buddhist temples, even to this day.
The heavenly king belongs to Taoism.
And when you say god, what kind of god? A creation god? A god that is in charge over the affairs of mortals?
In that sense, the heavenly kings can't be considered a god because they do not play a role in creation, nor are they tasked directly with interfering with the affairs of mortals.
