Ah challenge alternate tsar Nicky

Basically in OTL Nicky commmited many mistakes due to his tutelage by conservatives, uncles and rasputin he could do little, so what if he married his first love Mathilde Kschenka, have his uncles all die from some disease and get rid of his conservative tutor, do you think he would have made a good Tsar if Rasputin, Marya, his uncles, and all his problems did not occur could the tsars remain in power.... that is your challenge, fid a way so that all this occurs to have a surviving romanov dynasty on the russian throne:cool::eek:

I dont know, OTL Tsar Nicholas II never wanted to be Tsar of Russia, and had recived VERY LITTLE education in how to rule "properly", Therefore he mainly continued the policies of the previous Alexander III's repressive regime, With the exception of creating a "council", The Duma, which he often suspended until he found a duma conservative enough.

In reality it wasnt Nicky's fault, you see he just had the bad luck, first he was not trained right, but the main cause was Rasputin, In fact Nicky was a great Tsar who wanted to continue liberal policies but unfortunatly Rasputen came along, he convince Alexandria to listen to him and he let her force her husband to continue the oppressive regime, it also didnt help that til 1905 Kaiser Willheilm acted as bg brother to little Nicky, constantly telling Nicky that he was an absoulute monarch and all that bullshit, while saying he should continue opressive regime etc, and the young Nicky listened to him, it was also him who convinced Nicky to send the Russian fleet halfway across the world to Tsushima and we know what happened, yeah that Kaiser had this all planned and he knew rev would rack RUssia and he was trying to win Nicky's favour. Next comes Rasputin, and if things couldn't get any worse, before Rasputin came along Alexay had Hemophelia the only heir to the Romanov throne had A disease that would kill him by age 20...... So Rasputin comes along he screws up the family leading to the events before DUma, followed by RUssian revoulution also the dude who taught Nicky was a conservative who hated anything modern which didnt help at all, yeah Nicky got horrible luck dont you agree, so what if luck was nicer on him and these things did not happen, could we see the ROmanovs in power

The problem is: he is Czar of Russia. He was kind of expected to upkeep the Absolute Monarchy and battle reforms. Also as stated earlier: he was the son of Alexander III, and a very unimaginative one, so he just kept doing what his father had always done.

that wasbecause of his upbringing by the conservativeteacger, his bad policies were Rasputin's fault, Raputin convinced Alexandria that reforms had to be stopped so she urged Nicky, and Nicolas listened to her.

He would have done so anyways. As I said, he was not a man willing to be a great reformer, just a fellow who happened to be Czar. Everyone expected him to battle reforms, so he did it. His father had done the same, and that was enough for him.
