AH Challenge: Alternate castings for Star Wars released in canonical order

Okay, as we all know, the Star Wars saga was filmed and released in an order different than the canonical one: Episodes IV to VI were released from 1977 to 1983, and Episodes I to III from 1999 to 2005. Let's imagine, without any regard to the writing process that was unaware of the prequel trilogy in the first place, that George Lucas decides to film them in the canonical order, which would mean:

-Phantom Menace released in 1977
-Attack of the Clones in 1980
-Revenge of the Sith (1983)
-A New Hope (1999)
-The Empire Strikes Back (2002)
-Return of the Jedi (2005)

Your challenge, if you accept it, is to make the alternate castings for the Star Wars heptalogy in this order, using well-known actors or not. It is assumed that the characters' list and the scenarios remain the same. You can also imagine the alternate film directors. Bonus points if you use as must as you can OTL actors in each trilogy albeit in different roles. Maxibonus points if you manage to come up with alternate versions of the scenario.

Characters' list for the OTL prequel trilogy:

-Anakin Skywalker (child/young adult)
-Padme Amidala
-Obi-Wan Kenobi
-Qui-Gon Jinn
-Mace Windu
-Palpatine/Sidious
-C3PO
-R2-D2
-Jar Jar Binks
-Shmi Skywalker
-Bail Organa
-Jango Fett
-Darth Maul
-Count Dooku
-General Grievous (voice)

From OTL original trilogy:
-Luke Skywalker
-Darth Vader (body double/voice/face revealed in Episode VI)

-Han Solo
-Chewbacca
-Obi-Wan Kenobi
-Grand Moff Tarkin
-C3PO
-R2-D2
-Lando Calrissian
-Boba Fett
-Wedge Antilles

If I'm reading this right, you want the original trilogy made in the 2000s and the Episodes 1-3 made in the 1970s, am I right?

Blatant attempt to grab as many bonus points as I can, while twisting things a bit in amusing places:

-Anakin Skywalker (child/young adult) - Ricky Schroder/Mark Hamill/James Earl Jones (Voice of Vader)
-Padme Amidala - Carrie Fisher
-Obi-Wan Kenobi - Harrison Ford
-Qui-Gon Jinn - Toshiro Mifune
-Mace Windu - Richard Roundtree
-Palpatine/Sidious - Sir Alec Guinness
-C3PO - Anthony Daniels
-R2-D2 - Kenny Baker (those two were easy.)
-Jar Jar Binks - Frank Welker
-Shmi Skywalker - Shelagh Fraser
-Bail Organa - Billy Dee Williams
-Jango Fett - Jeremy Bulloch
-Darth Maul - Carlos Ray Norris
-Count Dooku - Christopher Lee (well...)
-General Grievous (voice) - Peter Cushing
-Yoda - Frank Oz

From OTL original trilogy:
-Luke Skywalker - I'll admit I have no idea who to use here, but I'll be damned if I'm using Hayden Christensen. For maximum laughs: Wil Wheaton.
-Darth Vader (body double/voice/face revealed in Episode VI) - Gene Bryant/James Earl Jones (hooray consistency)/Mark Hamill
-Emperor Palpatine - Ian MacDiarmid
-Leia Organa - Natalie Portman
-Han Solo - Ewan MacGregor
-Chewbacca - Peter Mayhew
-Obi-Wan Kenobi - Harrison Ford (Since the age progression is actually in the right order, this can work here.)
-Grand Moff Tarkin - Terence Stamp
-C3PO - Anthony Daniels
-R2-D2 - Kenny Baker (Still easy.)
-Lando Calrissian - Samuel L. Jackson
-Boba Fett - Temuera Morrison
-Wedge Antilles - Rohan Nichol
-Jabba the Hutt - BRIANBLESSED

Alright, I'm going to try to use as many of the original actors as possible.

Characters' list for the OTL prequel trilogy:

-Anakin Skywalker (child) - Patrick Labyorteaux
-Anakin Skywalker (adult) - Mark Hamill
-Padme Amidala - Carrie Fisher
-Obi-Wan Kenobi - Harrison Ford (gonna have massive butterflies for his career if he plays it like McGregor did. Maybe the character is re-imagined as slimy and cocky)
-Qui-Gon Jinn - Alec Guinness
-Mace Windu - Billy Dee Williams (I know he's a bit young, but not too young. Maybe just tweak the character slightly)
-Palpatine/Sidious - Ned Beatty (This may sound weird, but I think it would work)
-C3PO -Anthony Daniels (OTL)
-R2-D2 - Kenny Baker (OTL)
-Jar Jar Binks - Bill Murray
-Shmi Skywalker - Shelagh Fraser
-Bail Organa - Phil Brown (imdb says he just got done playing a Senator in Pink Panther anyway)
-Jango Fett - Jeremy Bulloch
-Darth Maul - Chuck Norris (yes, you read that correctly)
-Count Dooku - Peter Cushing
-General Grievous (voice) - no idea, I really don't know anything about voice actors.

From OTL original trilogy:
-Luke Skywalker - Hayden Christensen
-Darth Vader (voice) - James Earl Jones (why not?)
-Emperor Palpatine - Ned Beatty (reprising his role)
-Leia Organa - Natalie Portman
-Han Solo - Ewan McGregor
-Chewbacca - entirely CGI. Voiced by some random guy who is good at making dog sounds.
-Obi-Wan Kenobi - Liam Neeson
-Grand Moff Tarkin - Christopher Lee
-C3PO - Anthony Daniels (OTL)
-R2-D2 - Kenny Baker (OTL)
-Lando Calrissian - Samuel L. Jackson (a bit old, but the character would work for him)
-Boba Fett - Temuera Morrison
-Wedge Antilles - Toby Maguire

Characters' list for the OTL prequel trilogy:

-Anakin Skywalker (child/young adult) - Anthony Michael Hell (he would have had the age to play him)/William Hurt
-Padme Amidala - Jennifer Jason Leigh
-Obi-Wan Kenobi - Harrison Ford (the character is quite wacky in the first episode, so it's logical)
-Qui-Gon Jinn - Toshiro Mifune (the producers now that he will be used only for one role, so it's good)
-Mace Windu - Melvin Van Peebles
-Palpatine/Sidious - Christopher Lee
-C3PO - Anthony Daniels
-R2-D2 - Kenny Baker
-Jar Jar Binks - Rick Moranis
-Shmi Skywalker - Piper Laurie
-Bail Organa - Sam Waterston
-Jango Fett - Kurt Russell
-Darth Maul - Chuck Norris
-Count Dooku - Peter Cushing
-General Grievous (voice) - James Earl Jones, the character is a puppet

-Lando Calrissian - Ben Affleck
-Boba Fett - Kurt Russell
-Wedge Antilles - James Franco

Let's go for an extension of the challenge; if you can, give also your list of actors that would fit for the best the characters' of Star Wars' Expanded Universe in a movie adaptation. You can pick the era you want for this series, taking actors from 1983 to 1999, or even after 2005. I have decided to go after 2005.

Grand Admiral Thrawn: Jonathan Rhys-Meyers
Mara Jade: Cate Blanchett
Gilad Pelleaon: R. Lee Ermey
Joruus C'Baaoth: James Cromwell
Talon Karrde: Joaquin Phoenix
Garm Bel Iblis: Tom Hardy
Jacen Solo: Daniel Radcliffe
Jaina Solo: Ellen Page
Anakin Solo: Jared Leto

I know, but I thought the point of this thread was to find actors from "today" who could have done the roles of the OT. I think Neeson could do the role.

Star Wars (1999)

After decades of development hell, director David Fincher obtained obtained a copy of the late George Lucas's screenplay for Star Wars. Fox agreed to finance the project due to the success Star Trek: Phase III and other space opera series were having in the 1990's.
It would become the highest grossing film of all time, and would win several Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Cast:

EDWARD NORTON as Luke Skywalker- The role was first offered to Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon before Edward Norton, high off his first Oscar nomination for American Psycho. Norton spent several weeks studying fighter pilots in action to get ready for the role.

BRAD PITT as Han Solo- This was the breakout character of the film, cementing Pitt as a Hollywood icon. The role was originally offered to Harrison Ford, best known as the lead on Star Trek: Phase III, before Fincher decided he was "too old". His portrayal of Solo as a cocky, slightly eccentric smuggler would earn Pitt an Oscar nomination for Best Leading Actor.

NAOMI WATTS as Leia Skywalker- A virtual unknown prior to being cast.

CHOW YUN-FAT as Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi- It was decided that due to the vaguely Oriental nature of the Force and the Jedi Order, an Asian national should be cast. This would be Chow's role for which he was best known for in the West.

CHRISTOPHER LEE as Grand Moff Tarkin- Cast due to his imposing appearance and mesmerizing voice.

RON PERLMAN as Chewbacca- Cast due to his extensive experience with prosthetic makeup. Like all the other alien creatures in the film, he was designed by creature effects wizard Rick Baker.

RAY PARK/JAMES EARL JONES as Darth Vader- Martial artist Ray Park portrayed Vader in the suit, while James Earl Jones gave him his signature voice.

BRENT SPINER as C-3PO- Both portrayed him in the suit and gave him his signature voice while Ben Burtt helped synchronize Spiner's voice with electronic noises to make it sound suitably robotic.

PETER DINKLAGE as R2-D2- As a dwarf, Dinklage was hired to inhabit the small robot suit. Ben Burtt created the cute robot sounds that R2 used to communicate.
