AH Challenge: Alt WWIII

Okay so lets say theres WWIII in Present Day.

But the thing is that there are countries like the CSA and other countries like a Surviving German Empire. Duking it out with a Mighty Russian Empire (That won battles like the Russo-Japanese War and owns Manchuria) and a Mexican Empire that owns Central America.

State your summary in how there would be a WWIII in an alternate timeline.

It's like Tl-191, but in the 2000s, and it's sorta in my way.
Btw Im making an alt history of this, If anyone can kinda help me on this, it would be nice
(I have no idea if this should be in ASB or Future Board)

Im making a map, it's not done of course, but I need help on borders for the Colonial Territory of Africa and the borders for the German Empire
I've asked requests on the map forum but everytime I ask, Im ignored.

Well...what're the politics? I'm assuming...from what you've said, notably the whole "CSA still around and a surviving German Empire," that that means the South won the Civil War and that North America stayed out of World War I all together, thus allowing Germany to edge out in a victory in '18 or '19. Just throwing some random stuff out there to get my footing.

Well...there's always the German colonial holdings. They didn't have much and probably would've taken some away from France and Britain in Africa when the war was over, or possibly have just kicked Belgium off the continent.

Japan would probably not have given back Tsingtao after such a conflict, though. Not in my mind. Germany wouldn't have the ability to tell them not to, and the Japanese wouldn't want to give back something they'd thrown away a fair amount of lives capturing.

That gets you up through about...1920.

Past that, I've got no clue.

Well thanks for helping me on that. I just need a 1900 map and I think I'm ready to make a map.

Heres a summary:

CSA wins Civil War, Russia wins Russo-Japanese War and gains Manchuria, WWI happens, US and CSA decide to stay out, Germany has a hard time getting into Russia, Russia avoids Civil War, Germany appears to be winning, Austria and Ottoman however are losing the war, Allies and Central agree a stalemate, Germany acquires Austria and Bohemia and 1900 Border with France stays same.

Thats all for now I guess

My two cents about the European front in your scenario:
Frankly, I think a WWIII in Present Day with Germany fighting against Russia will be a curbstomp battle.
Since there was no Brest-Litovsk Eastern Europe and parts of the Balkans will be in the Russian camp, Russia has large holdings in Asia, they've beaten the Ottomans and might have great influence in the Middle East, their economy is not destroyed by a civil war and the subsequent mismanagement by the communists, their army is probably very, very advanced and well trained (no purges by the communists)...
Then there's the large manpower pool (compounded by their Allies in Eastern Europe) and vast natural resources. And Germany has got what exactly? Maybe some colonies in Africa, if there was no decolonisation. Maybe the (decaying corpse of?) the British Empire will help Germany.
And then there's still France, who would probably still side with Russia.
Though, that's just the conventional war.

What about MAD and nukes? What about Globalisation? Why do they go to war?
