AH Challenge: A good film from Vancouver

What I'm hoping is a movie that grosses very well at the box office and/or gets nominated for an Oscar. Bonus if they win.

Isn't every movie ever filmed in Vancouver or Toronto? Isn't that one of the stereotypes of Canada or something?

I don't want this to be an AH challenge, I want this to actually happen.

I live and Vancouver and yeah, we get a lot of filming out here. Scenes from a lot of decent movies have been done, but only partially. Everytime someone decides to set up a film here it seems like it turns out to be crap.

Please save my city.

Yeah, many are. I was an extra in an episode of Flashpoint and my buddy was an extra in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and even when the Film Festival isn't going on, there is usually a lot of stars hanging around Toronto. It does have its appeal, too. :)

There's been good films in Vancouver, but none were blockbusters... It's not like it's a badge of quality anyway, although it's nice to sometimes see a good one come out.

Simple, have the Wachowski bros film The Matrix in Vancouver instead of Sydney.

Okay, so that means that the two sequels probably end up being vomited up in BC...
