I've never come across any fiction that focuses specifically on Israel going up against her neighbors again or how one of the past wars may have turned out differently. Can anyone recommend some titles?
Trevor Dupuy (a very good historian) wrote this as a look at some possible post Cold War conflicts in the 1990s. One of them is an Arab-Israeli War that results in an Israeli defeat
I haven't had the chance to read it myself, but I know of a short story that deals with this premise: "Palestina" by Martin Gidron. It's set in Palestine after Israel is defeated and subsequently dissolved in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It was published in an episode of Interzone, as described here:
