By the end of the 15th century, imagine that the crowns of England, France, Portugal, and Castille are united under one monarch. This realm can include Aragon and Burgundy (for the Netherlands), but it is not essential. This dynasty rules these, at minimum, 4 kingdoms for the majority of the Age of Exploration - so pretty much until, at minimum, mid 17th century or so (it can last longer, if you like).
What does the colonization of the New World look like in this scenario? What does the establishment of trade routes around Africa and into Asia look like? Would the model of colonization resemble that of any particular colonial power from history, or some mishmash of all of their policies, or perhaps it would just be based on regional conditions? Would, for example, religious minorities be prohibited or encouraged to move to the New World? Would there be an emphasis on trade with the natives, resource extraction, or settlement?
