Hello guys!
I'm addressing more to history geeks but any help is greatly appreciated.
I need some help concerning the address formulas used in the high middle age (
1200) in France.
So,
- how two knights addresses each-other ?
- how a knight addresses to seigneur (not his lord) ?
- how two nobles addresses each-other (barons, counts) ?
- how a noble address to the king ?
- how a knight address to the king?
- how a noble (knight, baron, count, etc.) address to a non noble (peasant, trader, etc)
- how everybody address to a bishop ?
- how everybody address to the Pope ? Votre Sainteté?
Also, I would like to know if someone else than the Pope can create a monastical military order (it can/should be approve by pope after, but it's created by some king/duke)
If anyone has some references, please send me.
BIG, BIG THANKS!
