Suppose there was a man, a fairly well trusted Confederate soldier, whose family lived somewhere in the border states. Now, let's say that said family gets killed in a misfire by a Confederate soldier(s). The first soldier, very attached to his family, goes slightly mad. He is one of those guarding a certain tent on June 23, 1862. Inside this tent are the major commanders of the Army of Northern Virginia. The soldier, in a fit of rage over the death of his family, goes into the tent, and manages to execute three of the generals* before himself being shot/stabbed to death by another guard or one of the generals. The three killed could really be any, but for the purpose of this exercise we'll postulate that it was Robert E. Lee, "Stonewall" Jackson, and James Longstreet. How would this affect both the Seven Days Battles and the Civil War itself?
