ACW: Virginia stays together, Texas splits

Pecos (in any sense) is further west than the breakoff area i decided on, and it wouldnt border the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo anyway. Comanchara is a good idea, but i've more or less already decided on Jacinto since there actually was a consideration of splitting part of eastern Texas into that state. while i really like the idea of a state called Pecos, it would work better if it was western Texas breaking off rather than the eastern part of the state. the basic idea with the split is that its something of a reverse of Virginia/West Virginia, eg that the split occurs deeper in the South and with a pro-Confederacy split rather than a pro-Union one

Oh, OK. I thought the western part of the state was the one breaking off.

Pecos is an awesome name for a state :D Its part of the reason I broke off the South Western part of the state in Communist Confederacy

in any case, i have options for either break-up: if its Unionist Texas with a Confederate breakoff, it'll be Texas and Jacinto; if its a Confederate Texas with a Unionist breakoff, it'll be Pecos and Texas ;)
