hey, all. as part of my ATL, the ACW still occurs (there's still disputes in america over slavery, so why not?) and its still a union victory over the CSA. i plan for the events of the war to pretty much go as they did IOTL, but there's a few differences. for one, there's another significant power in the americas that is closely allied to the united states: the Aztec Empire. second, France is a little more closely allied to US. it could very well be that these two external powers stay out of the fight because, for france, its just too far away to really warrant their entry, and for the aztecs, it may be that theyre torn between the two countries, which they do technically both support, so they stay out of the fight there. but if at least the aztecs join in (theyre basically a more stable mexico ITTL) and attack the CSA from the south and west, how do you all think the war would go? would it end sooner? what would happen immediately afterwards: could lincoln escape assassination, or would the reconstruction go more smoothly, or would it be as IOTL?
