Acadia without the Grand Dérangement

In honor of Nation Acadian Day (or the Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption if you prefer) I pose the following to challenges.
Come up with a scenario that does not have the Deportation.
What would happen if Acadia survived, and even possibly become a Canadian province by itself.

The British Army, upon hearing of the merchants' plans to deport the Acadians, basically implement martial law in Boston immediately to stop it from happening. That's the most extreme example, but it would work.

Another option would be that after conquering Acadia, the British recognize the neutrality of the Acadians whilst working with them. Maybe an Acadian version of the Quebec Act?

The problem with the first one, is that the British army would probably be in favor of the deportation
