Abandoned colonies survive

Just read a book on lost colonies today, which went into detail on how certain planned European colonial settlements in various parts of the New World failed, such as- among others:
Darien
Roanoke
Sagadahoc
Wessagussett
Merrymount
New Providence
Fort Dundas (on Melville Island in the NT)
New Australia (in Paraguay)

Now, WI any of the above had survived instead of OTL being abandoned due to factors like poor preparation, harsh terrain, native hostility & attacks, lack of food & water etc ?

Well as far as Roanoke is considered, its survival my lead to an easier time for the Jamestown colonists perhaps avoiding the starving times.

Sagadahoc(or Popham)Colony survival has major repurcussions firstly New England probably isn't named New England. I'm not sure what complications would come about regarding the Plymouth Colony. However you would see ship contruction take off much more quickly in America.

The success of the Wessagusset may very well lead to another earlier successful colony in Boston Harbor named Weymouth. This in turn could lead to a strong New England Confederation or at least some form of union.
