A waaaay back/pseduo mythologic WI

So it's 1 in the morning here, I'm waiting for the Flexeril to kick in, and the only thing on even SOMEWHAT worth watching is Troy. Which makes me wonder - because I keep hoping the end will change - WI the Trojans listen to Paris and burn the horse?

Yes, and I guess we don't have "Trojan" brand condoms in modern times. ;)

In all seriousness though, the Greeks were pretty much defeated at that point weren't they? Would Troy remain a power in the area?

Actually, no. It was a total stalemate.

a decade long stalemate at that. Burning the horse would've proved Odysseus wasn't the smartest of all Greeks (not to mention no 'Odyssey'). The Trojans remain a regional power until the Persians come along...or until Paris inherits the Throne.:D

Oddly enough, that is a few Hittite documents which record a peace treaty between a Paris-Alexander of illium and the regional Hittite power. And, as people who know their Trojan War, Alexander was another name for Paris. So, its conceivable he DID live long enough to take the throne in real life.
