A very different 2012 election thread

Barack Obama's victory has inspired me to look back at recent history. It looks to me that the devastation caused by Hurricane Karl and the criticism of FEMA's response in September 2004 was a very pivotal event. It doomed George W Bush's prospects for reelection. I celebrated John Kerry's victory but little did I know at the time that 2004 like 1988, 1976, 1948, and 1928 was an election that it was better to lose. President Kerry would lose four years later following the economic collapse. That brought John McCain, a man who would shelve Kerry's plan for an economic stimulus plan. h He would pay the price with continueing 10 percent unemployment, voters would give control congress to the Democrats in 2010 and threw him out of office this week. bBarack Obsma promise to sign a stimulas assures us all that prosperity is just around the corner. Of course we still have the signature accomplishment of the Kerry administration: the Affordable Care Act w With the strong public support for the act Republicsns were unable to fashion a compromise replace the hated Kerry Care in the two years the controled the White House and Congress.
