If a military coup takes place in Great Britain during the 1970s (Let say the Labour government in power at the time turns out to be spies for the Eastern Bloc for example (I am more interested in the actual Military Coup)) and the resulting instability and confusion leads to a coup by the British military to take control of the country (With help possibly from other countries agencies as well).

How would a military government run the country economy/foreign policy/social affairs etc? How would it deal with the event's of the 1970s-Late 1980s such as the Soviet Union, dispute with Argentina over the Falklands, Hong Kong, EU, German re-unification and other world affairs of importance (taking into considerations butterflies as well)? How would dissent and opposition to the military government be handled?

When the military government falls eventually, how would the aftermath be handled? Possible trials and eventual fates of those who lead the coup and run the government? How would reconciliation and effect of British politics be handled in such a scenario in the aftermath?
