A thread idea?

Perhaps this belongs in shared worlds, but hear me out. What if there was a tl, which consisted of a main (objective tl) and multiple mini tl’s from different perspectives owned by different authors? Would that be feasible/belong in this forum?

The overall idea is about the Roman Empire/Republic. One person will managed the main tl, while others post to their own tl. The individual tl’s will be based around specific houses. So say I create the House of Atticus, and I post on my tl:

“The emperor Atticus regarded his secretary with contempt. The need for new taxes was more pressing than the man let on.
‘Do it.’
‘Sire?’
‘Grant them citizenship, and give me my money.’” (Id hope it would be more in depth and better written, but it'll do for the example.)

The main tl will say something like :
“AD 100, August- Emperor Atticus declared all inhabitants of Italy and Gaul to be official citizens of Rome.”

Any major change affecting all the houses would have to be approved, and there can always be interaction between authors. Questions or comments are appreciated.

Oh, and there can be specific places a house can claim, for example: commanding a loyalty of people in Macedonia.

And alternatively there can be groups or clans outside the Roman World. I know I am babling, I am just excited is all.

Seems similar to the Protect & Survive 'Tapestry' of multiple Threads on Post 1900.

The original Thread establishes 'Canon' and the 'Spin-offs' tell their own stories around that framework.

P&S has an 'Open Thread' where ideas are floated, 'Canon' shared and awareness of new spin offs raised.

Don't see why it wouldn't work in a Roman context. ;)

Well, I figure to keep it semi-small and act as an arbiter via pm's and such. Do you think those measures would be effective or would it still be difficult?

And thank you Falkenburg, I will check that out.
