I love it! Another idea would be to make the yellow background blue to represent the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.

so yeah, i was crusin around on reddit looking for some good content when i came to a redesign of the Hawaiian flag posted by Eren_Jeager and i wanted to post it on here to spread the love and support for the flag:

personally i love the flag and (of course) its better than the current design but i have to ask, what are your thoughts?

I'm personally not crazy about that Hawaii flag. It's just too close to Alaska's flag for my taste, and I happen to like the current Hawaiian flag. If only for the history behind it. The fact that it's one of the flags that isn't a lazy Coat of Arms on a blank background helps too.

Definitely. Hawaii's flag is considered among the best among US states, and it's the flag of the Kingdom of Hawaii as well. Getting rid of that is pretty much throwing away Hawaii's history. And I love the irony of a Union Jack on a US state flag.

I don't like this at all. It's lost the qualities that evoke the Spanish flag and now it just looks like a thinly veiled Confederate flag.

Too similar to Saskatchewan, and in any case I feel any new flag for North Dakota would place more emphasis on the Lakota Sioux.
