A Tale Of Two Russias

WI the provisional government under Prince Georgy Lvov had managed to survive along with one headed by Alexander Kerensky? Could two Russias-one perhaps a consitutional monarchy, the other a socialist state-have managed to co-exist at least for a time?

Granted, this would require some major changes in the way the First Russian Revolution turned out OTL, but still...WI there had been two Russias?

Why would there be two Russias? Lvov was really more of a figurehead than anything else, and Kerensky just did not know how to govern in an emergency situation. Nor did either of them harbor any reservations about the monarchy; Kerensky may not have liked the Tsar, but the only reason he was okay with the abdication was because he knew that things would only get worse if Nicholas remained on the throne.

Again though, why would there be two Russias?
