A successful suicide scuttling ...

Attempted to search but found nothing of previous topics covering this. Apologies if that isn't accurate. Small question, just interested in the possible outcome and likely scenario of if the German fleet had actually made their last suicidal raid with the High Seas fleet. I don't know how accurate this statement is, but Wiki (unless someone can provide more detail as to the objectives) states

" The plan involved two simultaneous attacks by light cruisers and destroyers, one on Flanders and another on shipping in the Thames estuary; the five battlecruisers were to support the Thames attack while the dreadnoughts remained off Flanders. After both strikes, the fleet was to concentrate off the Dutch coast, where it would meet the Grand Fleet in battle."

Lets assume that the crews are managed, and revolts or dissention is crushed prior to leaving. The plan is given the green light with crew loyalty not in question. What could have been achieved, what damage could have been inflicted, and the results (if any) of such a final battle?

If WW1 ended in a Glorious Naval Battle Against The Nefarious Hun(TM) in British home waters, if nothing else it would have a significant effect on how the war is viewed in Britain in retrospect--not quite so hopeless and pointless and evoking a bit more of the past.

Do you think the plans had any chance for reaching their objectives. I know the British were reading and had a lot of information on German wires during the time. Would they have known about it prior to? If not, it would be unexpected for the entire fleet just to fling itself to the coast ... especially after so much inactivity during the previous years. Might it have caught some unit by surprise? I'm not doubting its inevitable destruction ... just if it could have say even reached the Thames and the impact of such an event.

End result Royal Navy reads Hun naval codes and tries to intercept the Hun. The German Fleet either fights to the death or fights then runs, either way the Germans lose.
