A Stronger Pan-Africanism?

WI the movement now known as Pan-Africanism, which advocates a stronger, united Africa, ends up being more successful? To date, one of the largest successes of the movement has been the creation of the African Union, but what would have been the result of Pan-Africanism being a wider held world view across the continent? Could we see a stronger African Union, or something even farther along?

Frankly, its in no great powers interest.... far better fro mtheir perspective for Africa to be weak and exploitable. Thus, its unlikely to happen.
