November 1st, 1950:
Oscar Collazo and Grizelio Torresola, two Puerto Rican Nationalists approach the Blair House where the President was residing. They shoot and kill White House police officer Leslie Coffelt before advancing towards the house. Collazo throws a grenade through the window of the President's room, mortally wounding Truman. They advance towards the door of the House, planning on confirming their kill, where Collazo is shot by the president's security detail. Torresola is shot in the hand but is shot as he tries to escape. Two hours later Alben Barkley is sworn in as the 34th president of the United States.

November 2nd:
Details on the assassins are revealed, their connection to the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party is made well known. People all over the world send their regards to Bess Wallace, Truman's widow.
November 3rd: Joe McCarthy gives his infamous "Fringes of the Nation" speech and calls for a halt to the proceedings of the Puerto Rican Legislature and for military control to be established.

November 4th: J. Edgar. Hoover orders FBI agents to arrest leaders of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party. The Reorganization of Government of Puerto Rico (RGPR) bill is proposed in the House.

November 5th: The November Riots begin in Puerto Rico over the RGPR Bill and the crackdown on the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party. They are much worse than those of October 30th and take place all over the nation.

November 7th: American Midterm elections occur, In the House the Republicans gain 25 seats and in the Senate the Republicans gain four seats.

November 10th:
After the attempted assassination of Puerto Rican Nationalist leader Don Pedro Albizu Campos by an FBI agent fails as the man gives a speech Don Pedro Albizu Campos proclaims to his audience of the Independence of the Republic of Puerto Rico.
