A Sister for Mary the Rich

The idea of Margaret of York giving Charles the Bold a surviving son has been posited several times on this board. But suppose she had given him another daughter. Obviously such a girl would be regarded as just about as useless for the Burgundian succession by the French (although they may have tried to marry her to the dauphin - OTL Charles VIII) and claimed the inheritance through her.

What does everyone think? Is she going to be a political pawn like Anne of Brittany's younger sister, Isabeau? Or is she going to at least catch a king (though maybe metaphorically)?

Well, it would make for interesting reading to see which "king" Margaret of York suggests for her daughter - probably one of her nephews though, perhaps the one who doesn't marry Anne of Brittany. The French might bring pressure to bear on Burgundy, to marry her to Charles VIII.

Otherwise, this girl's future might be decided by her powerful relatives in England and Vienna. I could see Margaret and her stepdaughter plotting and scheming to marry this girl off.

Burgundian inheritance is very likely partitioned. If Mary the Rich still marries Maximilian, a French marriage is likely for her sister ?Marguerite.

Would she marry Charles VIII? Or perhaps a younger brother of his can survive infancy. And of course she'd be a threat to Henry VII (or at least her kids would be) if/when he succeeds to the throne.
